Exploring the idea of ‘welding’ flat ceramic parts together with visible seams, Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek has developed a series of ceramic designs inspired by his love for turning two dimensional material into a three dimensional form.
Due to the fragility of the construction process, each piece is individually assembled and therefore unique.
Shepard Fairey’s Obama poster has triumphed in a shortlist of 90 other designs to become Brit Insurance Design of the Year 2009.
Chosen as the most innovative and forward thinking design from the past 12 months, Fairey’s poster sheds new light on the power and influence of design on our day-to-day lives.

The website is engaging and easy to use with its cyan magenta and yellow colours and ability to add a quick comment. The ever-changing results can often be as colourful as the graphics.
