Graduation project

For my degree project, I examine the three-dimensional territories of architecture and furniture. I investigate how the notion of architecture can influence furniture design, or the other way around.
Recent product design graduate Matylda Krzykowski has devised a series of wooden chairs reinterpreted through a distinct pattern of methods.
Led by an obsession for clean-cut form, Matylda has created a number of archetypal chairs that are far more than meets the eye.
For anyone itching for a great design read, we highly suggest picking up a copy of David Pye’s ‘The Nature and Aesthetics of Design’.
Although written over 30 years ago the book is as relevant today as it was then. It presents a wisdom and understanding of design that deeply resonates with our current situation.
