Carpenters Workshop Gallery is pleased to announce the solo exhibition of Robert Stadler taking place from 27 April to 24 June in its New York gallery. Entitled ‘Weight Class’, the exhibition will feature works from his acclaimed ‘Cut_Paste’ series as well as new suspension light fixtures incorporating Isamu Noguchi’s iconic 1950s Akari lamps.
Making | Breaking: New Arrivals at Cooper Hewitt features more than forty recent contemporary acquisitions from the museum’s permanent collection, as well as sketches, prototypes, and videos illuminating the designers’ groundbreaking design thinking. These new designs push the boundaries of materials, making, and form.

R & Company is thrilled to announce representation of Johnny Swing's coin furniture and design. Celebrated as a notable member of the American Studio Furniture movement, Swing's iconic coin works have been exhibited in museums and institutions around the world.
Atmosphere for Enjoyment: Harry Bertoia's Environment for Sound takes a close look at Bertoia's sounding sculptures. He began to create these as well as gongs in the late 1960s during a quest to examine the relationship between sculpture and sound that would last the rest of his life.
Pierre Huyghe was commissioned for the third in a new series of site-specific commissions for The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden. The Roof Garden Commission: Pierre Huyghe will be on view from May 12 through November 1, 2015 (weather permitting).
Over the last decade, art museums have restaged many performances and dances, mostly from the 1960s and 1970s. Not quite live and not quite dead, these reenactments have introduced a zombie-like time into cultural institutions.
