On May 25th Phillips de Pury & Company held their second design auction of the season. Of the 168 lots attributed to specific designers, 65.48% sold bringing in a total of £1,501,059 (10% below the estimated total of £1,662,220).

London will host the city's first ever celebration of contemporary culture from across the Arab world. Shubbak: A Window on Contemporary Arab Culture, will encompass over seventy events in more than thirty key cultural venues throughout the city for three weeks from 4 – 24 July 2011

On the 9th of June 2011 Wright will host an auction of 'Important Design' in Chicago. As one would expect from a Wright auction, there are plenty of mid century lots from classic designers such as Gio Ponti and Frank Gehry. Along with these classic collectibles, however, are plenty of contemporary and post-modern works.
