This year he would have celebrated his 100th birthday: the Austro-Italian designer Ettore Sottsass (1917–2007), one of the most influential and unconventional figures in twentieth-century design. He gained renown with his designs for the office equipment manufacturer Olivetti, for his poetic, minimalist sculptural objects, and as the leading figure of the Memphis design collective in the 1980s.
Gabriele Beveridge’s first solo exhibition with Parisian Laundry, the London-based artist presents Soft Shrinking Tremor. Here, Beveridge assembles found objects and images with newly fashioned parts that subtly evoke the tactual and evanescent contact between the body and the accessories and processes that serve to embellish it.

A seminal figure in 20th-century design, the Italian architect and designer Ettore Sottsass (1917–2007) created a vast body of work, the result of an exceptionally productive career that spanned more than six decades.
Housing is scarce – that much has become evident in the last few years. As real estate prices in big cities continue to skyrocket, conventional ideas of housing development prove unable to meet demands. The reaction to these challenges has been a silent revolution in contemporary architecture – towards collective building and living.
In Nepal, the renowned Tibetan style rugs have traditionally been made from Tibetan highland sheep wool, which is an abundant and important resource. The rugs are generally woven with an intricate knotting method specific to the region.
Continuing the Museum’s collaboration with contemporary artists of all disciplines, the category-defying works of Robert Stadler (Austria, b. 1966) are installed in tandem with Noguchi’s sculptures, raising as many aesthetic, functional, and philosophical questions as possible.
