Claude Lalanne continue to excite bidders
The Parisian design dyad Claude Lalanne have once again exceeded the valuers expectations. It was estimated that their work Pomme Bouche Sculpture sell between £8,000-£12,000.
At the end of the October 26th Auction, the hammer struck at £39,650 - four times the estimated value.
Since the beginning of 2009, Claude Lalanne pieces have been selling far beyond their estimated values, the October 26th sale at Christie's was no exception. At the Collection Yves Saint Laurent et Pierre Bergé Claue Lalanne's Ensemble De Quinze Miroirs Aux Branchages sold for €1,857,000 - double the estimated value.
