LDF at the V&A
18-26 September ‘10
V&A Museum
London, UK
The V&A Museum welcomes the London Design Festival to make its campus a hub for the festival. The V&A will host a broad program of events, talks, and workshops that will take place throughout the week in the Sackler Centre.
The program includes an installation from the British Design Embassy, a Stuart Haygarth staircase in collaboration with John Jones framing company, an installation by Cappellini, an Oskar Zieta installation in the Madjeski Garden, a hidden iPod tour of the V&A, and even designer maps by Michael Johnson showing the favourite V&A spaces.
Also throughout the 9 day festival, the V&A will host various talks, breakfasts, exhibitions and open studios and workshops.
A unique project being featured on the 24 September is a project of three former RCA students, Ben Faga, Vanessa Harden, and Kevin Hill, using bees to create an Edwardian style crib linking the posts with honey comb. The work will also be featured at Designers Block throughout the weekend.
