The Design Exchange museum in Toronto, Canada is hosting an exhibition, entitled “Bent Out of Shape”, which chronicles Canadian industrial design from 1945 to present.
The exhibition highlights the materials, methods, technology, and transformation of these objects in order to illustrate the rapid political, technological, and social changes that accelerated after the end of the Second World War.
The show will run from July 16 until October of this year and will
feature pieces from the Design Exchange’s permanent collection. Designers and artists on show include An Te Liu (Architectural theorist and Installation Artist), Andrew Jones (Industrial Designer), Claude Cormier (Landscape Architect), Jason MacIsaac (Curator, Interior Desinger, Owner of Ministry of the Interior), and Shaun Moore (Curator, Interior Designer, Co-owner of MADE) among others.
