The Triennale Design Museum in Milan is currently showing an exhibition of table lamps dating from the late 1960s and early 1970s that are representative of this period’s iconic “Space Age” aesthetic.
The show will run until September 5 and includes over sixty examples of different lighting designs from several international collections, including pieces by Joe Colombo, Gino Sarffati, Giotto Wick, and Vico Mgistretti.
The exhibition seeks to analyse the socio-political implications of these designs within their original contexts, as well as the continuing influence they have on today’s industry.
