The Edward Cella Art + Architecture Gallery in Los Angeles, California will host a solo exhibition of work by contemporary architect Fredrick Fisher from 21 April to 22 May. The show, entitled “Frederick Fisher: Thinking by Hand”, will focus on a series of recent watercolours by Fisher that demonstrate his unique approach to envisioning the spatial layout of his projects.
The range of sketches and images on view in the exhibition explore developments in domestic and professional environments, as well as the traditional museum structure. The exhibition highlights the importance of drawing in architecture and design particularly in relation to understanding a new commission.
