New Works by Joris Laarman
Opens 5th March ’10
Friedman Benda
West 26th Street, New York City
On March 4th, young Dutch designer Joris Laarman will unveil a new collection of work at Friedman Benda in New York City.
In creating these works, Laarman used software originally developed for the German auto industry to replicate the algorithmic logic that underlies tree an bone growth. By doing so he gives his designs incredible strength and efficiency.
The resulting objects have a aesthetic that merges cutting-edge technology with organic forms. This is Laarman’s first US solo exhibition.
