Wallpaper Design Awards 2010

For a fresh look at everything design from 2009, view Wallpaper Magazine’s ‘Design Awards’, featuring important and unique pieces from an array of sources.  Categories such as ‘Best New Domestic Design’ (a slow cooker from Margaret Foolen for Royal VKB), and ‘Best Armchair’ (‘Archibold’ by J.M. Massaud) are just a few of the 2009 wonders.  

The awards are given to new inspirational pieces, as well as design re-issues of classic works by designers such as Charlotte Perriand, (see ‘Best Reissued’).    However, the most interesting award in our opinion, goes to the ‘Best New Toy’, from the LEGO: ‘Frank Lloyd Wright Collection’.  This eclectic toy set can give any aspiring design genius the ability to create some of Frank’s best works, such as falling water, or the Guggenheim Museum.  No doubt to be enjoyed by all ages, this ‘Toy’ will carry on Wright’s legacy for years and generations to come.

With so many design categories to choose from, one is sure to find something of interest.
