This month, we highly recommend picking up a copy of ‘La Mano dell’Architetto’ (‘The Hand of Architect’). 

This intriguing book offers a catalogue-style compilation of 378 full-colour illustrations of sketches and drawings from a selection of internationally acclaimed architects including Feilpe Assadi, Gae Aulenti, Mario Botta, Michael Graves, Vittoria Gregotti, Zaha Hadid, and Alessandro Mendini among others. 

Produced by Moleskine, in close collaboration with Abitare/Segesta, the catalogue also contains interesting and previously unpublished essays focusing on the fundamental connection between creativity, project and design in the architectural process. These explore drawing and sketching as the most important tools at the architect's disposal, and examine them as a metaphor for any creative endeavour.
