Create and Make - Print in 3D
25th August - 27th August '09
Antenna Gallery, Science Museum,
Exhibition Road, London
For the official launch of Digital Forming®, the Science Museum presents ‘Create and Make’, a three day event showcasing the latest in 3D printing software and manufacturing technologies.
While offering visitors the opportunity to see a 3D printing machine in action and chat to designers about how 3D printing is going to change manufacturing forever, Digital Forming will demonstrate their revolutionary technology which allows potential customers to personalise the products they are about to buy in a 3D online environment.
From this autumn the general public will be able to visit ucodo.com, to ‘co-design’ lifestyle products with professional designers. In this newly conceived virtual space users will be invited to modify - stretch, twist, emboss, assemble - in real time a variety of consumer products all with the simple movement of the mouse. Users can adjust form, choose colour and material, save designs in an online library, and purchase when ready.
For a sneak preview of what some are deeming to be the ‘future of design’ be sure to visit Create and Make - Print in 3D.
