Bauhaus: A Conceptual Model

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the foundation of the Bauhaus, the Bauhaus Archive Berlin, the Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau and the Klassik Stiftung Weimar jointly present an exhibition recounting the story of this most important school of modernity.
Featuring well over 900 objects, making it the largest exhibition of it’s kind, ‘Bauhaus: A Conceptual Model’ focuses on the significance of the Bauhaus for the development and internationalisation of modernity.
Through a comprehensive presentation of the works of both its masters and students the exhibition offers an indepth view into the schools most important concerns - Inter-disciplinary, experimental teaching, the concept of practice-oriented workshops, the pursuit of answers to social questions, the propagation of timeless aesthetics as well as experimentation with new techniques and materials in architecture and design.
