DAMn° magazine presents Prophets & Penitents, a celebration of chair prototyping in Milan’s oldest church.
Featuring many previously unseen works by established & emerging designers including the Campana brothers, Maarten Baas, Konstantin Grcic, and the Bouroullec brothers, the exhibition reveals the invisible detours on the road to realisation.
Exploring the entire spectrum of the prototype, from first experiments in the design process of mass-production to one-off sculptures doomed to stay in the prototype stage forever, the exhibition presents those imperfect/perfect moments, where against all the clichés of digital 3D moulding, prototyping still continues to be regularly performed.
