Debate: Ethics in Architecture: The Corbusian Legacy

As part of the series of events surrounding the exhibition Le Corbusier: The Art of Architecture, the Barbican will host a debate centered around the fundamental question ‘Can good design change the world?’.
Chaired by Razia Iqbal, Arts Correspondent, BBC News, the debate takes Le Corbusier’s influential manifesto for modernism, “Five Points of a New Architecture’ as its point of departure.
Questions surrounding the Politics and Ethics of Globalisation; Affordable Housing and Humanitarian Projects; Urban Planning; Environment and Sustainability will be discussed and debated by a select panel of internationally acclaimed architects including Massimiliano Fuksas, Zaha Hadid, Charles Jencks, Winy Maas and Cameron Sinclair.
