Scottish designer Donna Wilson’s handmade work has taken knitting to new levels with her collaborations with furniture makers, installations in shops as well as her work accessorizing runways.
Located in the main gallery space, the work presented ‘inspired by oddities in human nature’ will include a menagerie of characters of various scales, for which Wilson has become known. The appeal of the creatures, like Cyril Squirrel, has garnered her fans of all ages in the UK and as far as Japan.
Representing 'the productive relationship between designer and activity’ the exhibition will also feature her range of blankets (from ROAM) and will showcase some items such as Hue sofa from her recent collaboration with SCP Furniture, as seen at last year’s Milan Furniture Fair.
