Tom Dixon - Talking Design
13th February '09 - 7:00pm
Victoria and Albert Museum
Cromwell Road, London
As part of Talking Design, the quarterly series of conversations with designers hosted by the V&A, internationally acclaimed design critic Alice Rawsthorn will be in discussion with Tom Dixon, one of the most influential product and furniture designers working in Britain today.
Combining the creative with the commercial throughout his career, Dixon taught himself design in the 1980s, sold limited edition furniture, and opened a shop.
He has gone on to become a leading design figure, head of design at Habitat and now Artek, the Finnish furniture maker founded by legendary architect Alvar Alto.
Tickets for the Talk are £8 with concessions available. But be sure to book soon, spaces are limited.
