Described as the ‘godfather of Italian product design’, Alberto Alessi talks with Design Museum Director Deyan Sudjic in what promises to be a night of inspiration.

Widely recognized for his role in recruiting some of the best international designers, including Ettore Sottsass, Michael Graves, and Philippe Starck, Alessi’s vision and risk management skills have repositioned the 80 year old company from household-trade supplier to design leader.

For this special one off event, the design museum will screen a selection of ‘Design Interviews’, a series of DVDs produced by Museo Alessi, co-edited by Museo Alessi and Edizioni Corraini and directed by Anna Pitscheider. The selection of short films including interviews with Richard Sapper, Ettore Sottsass, and  Achille Castiglioni, will be intersected with a response and discussion between Alberto Alessi and Deyan Sudjic.

Tickets are £15 but book fast since spaces are limited.
