Frank O. Gehry: Design Process and the Lewis House
8th November '08 - 5th April '09
Philadelphia Museum of Art
Fairmount and Pennsylvania Ave, Philadelphia, PA
Opening next month at the Collab Gallery, will be an exhibition exploring the works of Frank Gehry during his decade-long residential commission for Peter Lewis in Lyndhurst, Ohio.
It was during this commission between 1985 - 1995 that Gehry developed his complex geometrical language of architecture that later informed the Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao, Spain, and ongoing subsequent designs.
Organised in collaboration with Gehry Partners, the exhibition will include 120 architectural models, drawings, photographs, videos, furniture, and decorative arts that follow Gehry's early creative process and extensive study of materials and forms.
The exhibition will run from 8th November '08 until early April 2009.
