Torino, Italy
Opening this week, the GAM Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art will host an exhibition dedicated to the life of Italian designer Enzo Mari.
Featuring over 250 works selected by his closest friends, the exhibition will present a journey through Mari's career that has spanned over 50 years, defining him as the 'critical conscience' of design history.
On show will be works from Mari's early beginnings in Programmed and Kinetic Art, through to his movement into design, with particular focus on his collaboration with Danese with whom he created scores of objects considered to be the forefathers of design evolution.
The Art of Design will open on the 29th October '08 and run until the beginning of January. For more information visit www.gamtorino.it
