This summer for the design festival season, British Design Company Tom Dixon collaborated with George Smith in transforming a Knightsbridge ballroom into an upholstery factory where the pair set about creating a new collection.

Originally the home of eminent painter Sir John Lavery, the Regency building provided a fitting backdrop for the experimental fusing of cutting edge contemporary design with centuries old traditional craft skills.

The results of the 'factory' will now be on show until the end of November, alongside the iconic Wingback chair in various stages of production. However viewings will now be by appointment only. Call 020 7400 0500 to make a reservation.
