'Form Follows Foam' by Therese Granlund
Bordering Between Attraction and Repulsion
In a bid to turn overused polyurethane on its head, Stockholm-based Therese Granlund made these drip chairs for her MA thesis at Design Academy Eindhoven.
Titled Form Follows Foam, the set extorts the low-class material’s plasticine qualities to create out-of-this-world conversation pieces.
“I play with desire and provocation with a collection of furniture that blurs our perceptions of taste and values, acceptance and trash,” she says.
