The ‘Matrice’ collection by Studio Cogitech at Galerie BSl
January 30 – April 26 '14
Paris
‘Matrice’ is Studio Cogitech’s first collection: one-off pieces as well as limited series presented by Galerie BSl, bringing together objects produced in two composite materials: lacquered fiberglass and carbon fiber. These composite materials are manufactured from resins that act like a matrix for the fibers, rendering them more rigid and more resistant.
From the production of objects to their design: a natural progression for Cogitech, a technical engineering practice, large manufacturing company and matrix for contemporary design, situated in the heart of france. for 14 years, architecture firms, big names in design and art galleries have confided projects to its creative teams to give shape to their most far-fetched ideas, to think outside the box, invent intricate, rare and increasingly innovative objects and structures.
The ‘Matrice’ collection embodies the desire to further this proven and absolute research into aesthetics and performance. Studio Cogitech’s leitmotiv: let the material speak for itself, by placing it at the very heart of the conception and production of the object. To explore all the potential of the material, face its challenges, envisage its risks, emphasize its beauty and overcome its constraints thanks to unparalleled expertise, such is Studio Cogitech and its creative teams’ focus.
