New collaboration launched - Lapicida with Bethan Gray
Following on from their collaboration with Wallpaper*, Bethan Gray revealed a new and unique collaboration of new marble dining tables with world-renowned stone specialist Lapicida at her "Inside Design" exhibition .
London Design festival will see Bethan and Lapicida collaborate further creating a unique installation and adding to their range of dining and occasional tables.
The Herringbone dining table seen here, made from carrara and maquina marble top with a brass base, features a distinctive zig-zag pattern running along the length of the table top. Bethan took inspiration from the spectacular black and white stone configurations found in historical buildings across Europe, from the ninth-century Amalfi Cathedral in Italy to the twentieth-century San Giovanni Battista in Mogno, Switzerland.
Bethan's Brogue dining table for Lapicida is translated into solid marble and includes the complex brogueing detail precisely carved by the manufacturerʼs state-of-the-art machinery. The object is then hand-finished by Lapicida craftsmen.
