Buildering...experience a Fresh View
20th July '08, 10am - 6pm
Pollard Thomas Edwards architects (PTEa), in collaboration with The Castle Climbing Centre and engineers Price & Myers, are creating a unique climbing event which invites visitors to scale their office building and gain a ‘fresh view’ of the built landscape.
To reach the breathtaking heights of the old Victorian timber mill at Diespeker Wharf involves scaling the ‘monkey bridge’ to the loading bay window ledge and scrambling across a rope net high above the cobbled courtyard. If you’re brave enough to make it this high however, you’ll be amongst the few to catch this unique view of London’s skyline.
This exciting 30-minute journey has been planned and will be facilitated by highly skilled and trained climbing instructors from The Castle Climbing Centre.
There are a number of participant restrictions, including limited tickets and specific clothing requirements, so be sure to visit www.lfa2008.org for more information on the event.
