designjunction Pop Up Canteen
the place to eat during London Design Festival
London
designjunction has revealed details of its Pop Up Canteen, a special collaboration between the Canteen group of restaurants, Transport for London (TfL), with furniture supplied by Modus and lighting from Very Good & Proper. Canteen, which has a number of permanent sites across London, draws heavily on TfL's utilitarian chic for its interiors, which is what made this collaboration such a perfect fit.
The canteen will be designjunction's largest eatery on the top floor and the space will be art directed by Michael Sodeau. It will also be the place to meet designers during a series of events as well as a great spot to meet and network in the evening.
A series of “designer teas” will also run during the event within the pop up canteen. Some of the biggest names in design will host an afternoon tea and will talk about their careers. Stuart Wood from Heatherwick Studio will be talking on the 20th September at 2.30pm, Sebastian Conran will be talking on the 21st September from 3pm and Ross Lovegrove will be talking from 3pm on the 22nd September.
Tickets can be booked at http://tflcanteentea.eventbrite.com
