Liliane Lijn: Light Pyramid
A sculptural beacon for Campbell Park

Commissioned by MK Gallery in collaboration with The Parks Trust, the distinguished international artist Liliane Lijn has created Light Pyramid, a sculpture which appears as a six metre high solid white structure by day but is capable of receding at night as it radiates light, serving as a unique beacon for Milton Keynes.
Light Pyramid is sited at the Belvedere in Campbell Park, a made-made feature formed at the time of the original construction of the city centre. As the highest point within the city’s park, this dramatic location affords extensive views of the surrounding Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire countryside, from which the pyramidal sculpture will itself be prominently visible.
