Alpha-ville 2012
6 October '12
London
After three consecutive editions of Alpha-ville Festival, its producers announced the official start of a new strategic phase for the organisation. Although the annual festival has been cancelled this year due to shortage in funding, the organisation will still be going ahead with a series of individual events.
To mark these changes, Alpha-ville presents the first in the series, celebrating cutting-edge visual and music cultures. Alpha-ville LIVE is the first carefully crafted event and it is dedicated to exploring the relationship between electronic music, visual performances and other cultural practices.
Taking place on Saturday 6th October at the iconic Hackney Empire, the unique programme will feature the London premiere of the collaboration between Murcof & AntiVJ, alongside an intimate live solo by The Field and a full audiovisual experience by Raster-Noton’s label co-owner Byetone.
The second event will take place at the Hackney Picturehouse on the same day, featuring the latest in moving image including animation, video art, experimental, interactive, documentary and music video.
