COLLECT 2012
11-14 May '12
London
From the 11th - the 14th of May 2012 the UK Crafts Council will once again host "Collect," the leading international art fair for museum-quality contemporary craft, showcasing the very best ceramic, glass, jewellery, textiles, wood, furniture, silver and fine metalwork by both new talent and established artists.
A stellar line-up of artists will be represented by 31 galleries, six of whom are new to the fair, from 11 countries around the world, including Japan, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Sweden and China.
These galleries will occupy the ground and first floor of the Saatchi Gallery and the Project Space area on the second floor will feature ten large-scale installations by individual artists with a focus on textiles and furniture.

Along with the fair, the Craft Council will launch their traveling show "Raw Craft: fine thinking in contemporary furniture."
Raw Craft captures a contemporary craft movement, presenting works characterised by a deliberate transparency of technique, materiality and process, evident in their look and feel.
Curated by the Crafts Council with Michael Marriott, designer, and Brent Dzekciorius, of Phillips de Pury as curatorial advisors to Raw Craft, the exhibition presents one-offs, limited editions and prototypes from makers including Peter Marigold, Oscar Narud and Fabien Capello.
