This past week at Design Days Dubai _croft Contemporary Design presented new works by Korean designer Jeoungsup Lee.
Lee is an acclaimed furniture maker who has helped to revive the tradition of Joseon-period wood furniture. This traditions works to retain the overall ratio and shape of the traditional building and uses construction techniques that work without using a nail.
Lee's work is characterized by an extremely simple design, which emphasizes a natural and minimal appearance. He aims to refresh our minds, which Lee believes is exhausted by excessive technique and design.
