R & Company is pleased to announce a solo exhibition of Brazilian modern designer Sergio Rodrigues, opening at the gallery on March 7. This is Rodrigues’ third solo show with R & Company and the first exhibition since his death in 2014.
The fifth edition of Frieze New York closed on Sunday, May 8, with ambitious presentations from galleries from around the globe that generated exceptional sales and fostered meaningful dialogue with collectors, curators and art enthusiasts.
A large-scale sculpture by acclaimed British artist Cornelia Parker, inspired by the paintings of Edward Hopper and by two emblems of American architecture—the classic red barn and the Bates family’s sinister mansion from Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 film Psycho—will comprise the fourth annual installation of site-specific works commissioned for The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Iris and B.
The house stands at the edge of the Ashokan reservoir, just below the summit of a Catskill mountain, with views extending south across and beyond the reservoir to the horizon. Oak, fir, spruce, and an occasional birch surround the house. Hawks, turkey, fox, deer and bear regularly appear.

The third edition of Collective Design’s fair will open to the public May 13 through 17 at Skylight Clarkson Sq in West Soho, as part of NYCxDesign. The 2015 fair will feature an international roster of returning and first-time exhibitors, representing established and emerging design talents from Copenhagen, Madrid, Milan, Paris, New York, and Oslo, among other creative capitals.

The TriBeCa Penthouse was created by Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt and Japanese architect Tatsuro Miki, in close collaboration with the hotel’s partners Ira Drukier and Robert De Niro. The 6,800 sq ft suite was inspired by the TriBeCa neighborhood’s industrial past fused with the ancient Japanese aesthetic of Wabi.
