Gallery Design opens in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia
Gallery Design is the first multi-line showroom and retail space in the Middle East that features leading interior brands such as Minotti, Walter Knoll, Poliform, Poltrona Frau, Bulthaup, Donghia, Moroso, Tai Ping and Foscarini.
Open in January 2011 in the elite residential area of Takhasusi in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the 4,500 square metre showroom is the answer to a growing demand among the region’s high-end consumers to access these internationally recognized brands at home. Targeting a younger audience (the median age in Saudi Arabia being 26), Gallery Design is set to change the way Saudi consumers live, work, entertain in their home environment.
Gallery Design will address the changing tastes and lifestyles in the region - the desire to adapt to modern living, embrace international design standards and to mix contemporary furniture with classic pieces.
The interior of Gallery Design spans over two floors, with marble flooring, wood panelling and white walls that will feature furniture accents and art. On the ground floor, furniture and products are displayed along each side of the central corridor with additional furniture and fabric offerings extending upstairs. The entrance of the silver-grey granite building features an oversized door, custom made in Germany in solid cast aluminium with a stainless steel frame while bespoke silver lighting fixtures by Lebanese-based PS Lab float on a pool of water along the front.
The brands at Gallery Design - all market leaders in design - have been carefully selected for their quality. Like a true gallery, the offerings will change and to adapt to customersʼ tastes and current trends in contemporary design.
