Important 20th Century Design Auction at Wright

On December 14 '10 Wright will host an auction of Important 20th Century design. This auction is very interesting to watch as is brings a few new designers into the auction market.
Jens Peter Schmid's first time at auction, his "Concrete Table" is estimated at $20,000–30,000. As with every designers first time at auction, it will be interesting to see how bidders react.
Fredrikson Stallard, a design duo working in London, have had one prototype on auction at the September 28 '10 Design Auction at Phillips de Pury & Company, London. This lot was estimated at $7,901 - $11,061, however was bought in. Making the pair of "Gold Stools" on auction at Wright this December a possible first sale at auction for the acclaimed designers. Estimated at $5,000–7,000, these stools are sure to catch the attention of contemporary collectors.

DeTnk is also watching John Dickinson's lot "table" estimated at $7,000–9,000. Dickinson, an auction veteran, has been consistently under valued in past auctions; often selling for double the estimated value. It will be interesting to see if this pattern continues into the following months.
