Upcoming Sotheby’s Design Sale

On the 9th of November, Sotheby’s London will host a sale of Fine 20th Century Design. The sale comes as the forth important design sale since the summer breaks.  Coming after Christie’s, Phillips, and Wright, this sale serves as an important indicator for the future of the market.

The sale offers a variety of works almost from the first and second halves of the 20th century. Among the 135 lots up for grabs are highlight pieces from Studio Job, Ron Arad, Hugo Franca and more.

Highlights include an important example of the famous ‘Blo Void 4’ chair by Ron Arad estimated at £70,000-£100,000, and the striking ‘Rock Sofa’ by Studio Job estimated at £60,000-£80,000. Hugo Franca is also selling one of his iconic large armchairs titled ‘Itacira’, estimated £15,000-£20,000.
