Sydney Design 2010

Beginning on the 31st of July, Sydney, Australia will host Sydney Design 2010 which will include over 70 design oriented events and exhibitions around the city for 16 days.
The festival is organised by the Powerhouse Museum in partnership with over 50 cultural institutions, organisations, and individuals across the city.
The theme of this year’s Sydney Design is “Tell us a story”, which aims to reveal the many captivating stories behind design ideas, objects and processes. The best of Australian product design from the 2010 Australian International Design Awards will be exhibited at the Powerhouse museum, alongside a major exhibition entitled “Creating the look: Benini and fashion photography”.
In addition, the festival will also feature Designer Markets where visitors have the chance to interact with the designers as they purchase the latest cuting-edge products. The “Young Blood” designers market will exclusively showcase the work of up-and-coming Australian talents.
