Currently on view at Industry gallery in Washington DC is an exhibition entitled “Getting to Now - Pathways to 21st Century Design” that brings together works by such acclaimed designers as the Campagna Brothers, Shiro Kurimata, Marc Newson, and Forrest Myers in a retrospective glance at the development of contemporary design.
The show presents a series of objects that date from the late twentieth century to the present day in order to highlight the innovations and progressions that have occured in design over the last decade.
The show features a dozen works by nine designers including the Campagna Brother’s “Vermelha Chair”, Shiro Kurimata’s “Revolving Cabinet”, Marc Newson’s “Wicker Chair”, as well as “Skin Table + 1” by Nacho Carbonell, Design Miami/Basel Design of the Future. The show is on view until August 21st.
