Phillips de Pury & Company in collaboration with Philip Michael Wolfson are pleased to announce that all proceeds from the sale of Wolfson’s LineDesk PINK (2008) at the Phillips de Pury & Company Design Sale New York will benefit the Make It Right project, founded by Brad Pitt to rebuild New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
Wolfson’s unique LineDesk PINK is a welded and folded aluminum design produced courtesy of Patrick Brillet Fine Art Ltd. (UK), and painted a bright pink in tribute to the Make It Right foundation’s Pink Project, an artistic and architectural address of the housing needs of the Lower 9th Ward.
Wolfson’s gracious donation of LineDesk PINK stems from his personal link to New Orleans, and his family’s strong ties to the city. Wolfson’s mother, stepfather and 103-year old grandmother were all forced to abandon their homes in New Orleans as Hurricane Katrina hit; they have all since returned to rebuild.
Wolfson’s LineDesk PINK (2008) will be offered with a pre-sale estimate of $18,000-24,000.
