A Facelift for Apartment 50

This year, Jasper Morrison introduced Studio Bouroullec to the owners of Apartment 50, an apartment built and decorated by Jean Prouve and Charlotte Perriand in Marseille, France.

The apartment is a lived in apartment that Studio Bouroullec was commissioned to redecorate and remodel. Though this apartment is not a museum, Studio Bouroullec felt it necessary to maintain the integrity of the original plan.

The apartment was remodeled with Charlotte Perriand and Jean Prouve's original design and furniture in mind, and the result is a unique apartment both calling on the past and moving into the contemporary.

Apartment 50 will be open to the public from 15 July - 15 August.
