The International Ceramics Museum in Weiden, Germany is opening an exhibition this weekend on the contemporary ceramic artist Roland Summer.
Austrian-born Summer is known for his ability to combine the Japanese Raku technique with the ancient Roman Terra Sigilata technique when creating his striking vessels. This exhibition brings together a large body of work that offers a retrospective view of Summer’s oeuvre.
It will run from June 20 to September 19 and it is curated by Dr. Josef Strasser of the Neue Sammlung International Design Museum in Munich.
