On the 9th of June, Phillips de Pury in New York will hold its second Design sale of 2010. Phillips has included a several contemporary pieces in their sale, and this sale could prove to be a benchmark sale for the future of the design market.
Highlights include Jean Prouve’s Very rare façade panel with porthole windows, from Bouqueval, France, 1950 estimated between $80,000 - $120,000, as well as Mattia Bonetti’s Important "Strata" buffet, 2004, estimated at $100,000 - $150,000.
Also up for grabs is an Important early “Pod of Drawers”, 1987, estimated to be $300,000 - $500,000 along with wide range of works by early and mid-century staples such as Lucie Rie, George Nakashima, and Joaquim Tenreiro.
