The Long Island City Makers Market is taking place this weekend on June 5 and 6.  Now in its second year, the Makers Market is a forum of convergence between design and contemporary craft set in a series of large tents in the Socrates Sculpture Park. 

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet over 50 American designers and shop a broad selection of skillfully crafted products. Several one-off and limited edition pieces will be featured at the fair including selections of ceramics, glassware, flatware, furniture, and lighting. 

This year's Makers Market has been curated by architect Alan Wazenberg, The Noguchi Museum, R 20th Century, and Socrates Sculpture Park and will be free and open to the public.
