From Milan: Maarten Baas For Your iPhone

At this year’s Milan Furniture Fair, Maarten Baas has unveiled his latest creation: an iPhone app of his renowned “Analog Digital Clock”.

Baas is best know for his handmade limited pieces that are mostly produced for museums and private collectors. The original "Analog Digital Clock" was created as part of Baas's series of "video art" electronics. It is a transformation of the traditional alarm clock where actors change the minutes on the clock manually. With this new iPhone app, he has turned a museum piece into a mass product that only costs a dollar.

To display his new “Analog Digital Clock” app, Baas has rented a private apartment on via Massiano in the latest zona of Milan, Ventura Lambrate. Not far off on Via Ventura, Baas is also showing his “The Shell” cabinet, which he created when he won Design Miami’s “Designer of the Year 2009”.
