Bug Chair
Bug is a small ‘chairstool’ with a large comfy support that comfortably hugs the back but naturally works as an armrest too. It’s inspired by the Black Rhino beetle after living in Asia for many years, where in some countries the beetle is kept as a pet. It was obvious that the beetle was well suited as inspiration for a domestic product. The shape and over dimensioned bodily proportions of the beetle gave the foundations for the aesthetics of this object. The large backrest size is the horn in relation to the beetle. The framework is bent mild steel and the ebony stained pine backrest/seat which also works as a small table. The ‘Bug’ is a great quick break stool with many flexible sitting positions.
