On show: Rare Heal’s Antiques

Heal’s has been a fixture of the modern design market for 200 years, and as part of their bicentenary celebrations they have organized a selling exhibition in conjunction with The Millinery Works at the Heal’s flagship store on Tottenham Court Road.

The exhibition opened last week and will run until the 3rd of April. It features a wide range of furniture dating from the Arts and Crafts movement to the 1950s and includes such famous pieces as the 1898 Fine Feathers Suite wardrobe, bed and coffer/chest designed by Ambrose Heal.

This show gives collectors, designers, and interested individuals the chance purchase a variety of rare and exquisite items, but it also gives visitors the unique chance to view these antique pieces in the store they were originally sold from.
