‘Grandi Legni’ by Andrea Branzi
10th December ’09 - 17th January ’10
Presented by Nilufar and Design Gallery Milano
Azzedine Alaia Gallery, Paris
Innovative Italian design galleries Nilufar and Design Gallery Milano have teamed up to present ‘Grandi Legni’ by Andrea Branzi at the Paris-based Azzedine Alaia Gallery.
‘Grandi Legni’ is a collection of unique assemblage works, which continue Branzi’s exploration into the environmental archetypes that characterise the complexity of the contemporary world. His works deal primarily with historical iconography, technology and the mixing of the modern and ancient world.
These intriguing pieces are halfway between architectural installations and everyday objects. They have been produced from a range of materials and techniques, including aged beams from Gadertal Alta Badia, 3M printing technology, Florentine mosaics, and the net from a hen-house. Andrea Branzi is an Italian born architect and designer.
The exhibition opened on the 10th of December and will remain installed in Paris through the 17th of January. For more information please visit www.nilufar.com
