Domaine de Boisbuchet Workshops
June - September '09
Domain de Boisbuchet
Midwestern France
For their thirteenth year running C.I.R.E.C.A, in cooperation with the Vitra Design Museum and the Centre Georges Pompidou, presents their international summer series of design and architecture workshops.
Offered from late June through mid-September, the courses are led by renowned designers, architects and artists including Humberto and Fernando Campana, Maarten Baas, Héctor Serrano and Max Lamb.
This year’s spectrum of workshop topics ranges from product design, architecture and exhibition design to photography and graphic arts. The courses incorporate experimental approaches as well as mechanical craftsmanship, and place an emphasis on practice-oriented, creative work, complemented by a programme of lectures and discussions. The primary focus is on developing each and everyone’s creative skills, opening their eyes to alternative thinking, experimenting with techniques and materials and learning the importance of process.
The workshops are open to anyone interested in design (and over the age of 18), so if you are looking for one of those unforgettable experiences for this summer, this might just be your thing.
