Relief Chair

Forming part of Micus Projects solid/surface/series collection, the Relief Chair is composed of layered sheets of medium-density natural wool felt adhered to each other with non-toxic adhesives.
Satin finish stainless steel legs support the felt body juxtaposing ‘weight and weightlessness with an intrepid stance’, while the ‘cascading’ felt pieces create a tactile and visually stimulating overall effect.
The Relief Chair will be featured in the Smithsonian’s Cooper Hewitt Design Museum’s exhibition ‘Fashioning Felt’, which opens tomorrow.
