Rocking Beauty

Rocking Beauty is an extension of the inner beauty concept. It is a piece where femininity meets masculinity in forms, decorations and materials.

Where materials play the function of colours. Where the storytelling finds its place.

The title "Rocking Beauty" and choice of materials is inspired as a commentary on what is happening in Iceland. Many dams and factories for smelting aluminium are being built, destroying and drowning a huge part of our nature.

Plywood for the earth, Macrolon for clarity and water, and Aluminum for the smelting factories. The inside represents nature while the outside barcodes are money and power.

The water jet cut layers of materials are randomly assembled
making each chair unique.
